Starting at Magnolia Park, North Hollywood
This Is 300 is a four-hour, citywide scavenger hunt that blends strategy, chaos, and creativity. Teams will race through Los Angeles solving clues, completing missions, earning points, and trying to reach 300 points before anyone else — or beat the clock by 4:00 pm. Every challenge is photo or video based, and no two teams will play the same way. It’s fast, competitive, and designed to feel like a real-life adventure with your friends.

Boundaries & Navigation
All missions and clues take place inside a defined rectangle in Los Angeles. The northern boundary is Burbank, the eastern boundary is the 5 freeway near the LA Zoo, the southern boundary is Melrose Avenue, and the western boundary is the 405 freeway. All tasks must be completed inside this zone for points to count.

Teams, Roles & Responsibilities
Each team will have four to five players. Roles help keep the game organized and fast-paced. Players must maintain their registered roles throughout the game. Only the team captain communicates with the host and submits proof for scoring.
Captain
Makes final decisions, and is the only person allowed to contact the host during gameplay. The Captain may also fill in for any role if needed.
Driver
Safely transports the team across the city, chooses drop-off points, and parks safely and strategically.
Runner
Jumps out quickly for fast captures when parking is difficult. Handles time-sensitive missions.
Photographer
Captures clear, creative photos and videos for each task. Ensures all players are clearly shown in each photo.
Navigator
Reads clues, routes the team efficiently, tracks points, and works with the captain to plan the order of missions.
| THE 300 POINT SYSTEM 🏆
Points, Clues & How You Win
Every task in the game is worth a set number of points. Some missions are quick and easy, while others require strategy, creativity, or a longer drive. Teams can choose their own path — complete many small tasks or chase a few difficult ones. First team to reach 300 points wins, or highest score at 4:00 pm takes the victory.
1–2 Points
“The Easy Way Out” tasks. Quick wins but low value.
5 Points
Standard missions that mix direct clues with light puzzle-solving.
10 Points
Medium difficulty tasks requiring creativity, timing, or clever routing.
20 Points
Hard challenges that may involve longer drives or multi-step missions.
40–50 Points
Bonus missions for big risk and big reward.
Hints & the Group Chat 📲
Every team captain will be added to one shared group chat where they’ll submit photos and videos for scoring. If a team is stuck on a clue, the captain may request a hint. The answer to the hint will be provided in the group chat with all team captains, so use hints wisely.
What to Bring & What You’ll Receive
Each player should come prepared for a fast-moving day around the city. Feel free to get creative with your team outfits, but be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Everyone will receive a go-bag at check-in with a few essentials and game materials. Refer to the ‘Gear Checklist’ for items you should bring on your own:
🎒GEAR CHECKLIST
- A fully charged phone
- Comfortable clothes & shoes
- Portable phone charger (optional but helpful)
- A positive, competitive attitude 😄
🎁 YOUR GO-BAG
- Bottled water
- First-aid kit
- Playbook (including rules & boundary map)
- Clue packet
- A sealed envelope with final instructions
Safety & The Vibe of the Day
The hunt is fast-paced and competitive, but safety always comes first. All traffic laws must be followed, and no photo or video is worth risking anyone’s wellbeing. Stay aware of your surroundings, be respectful when interacting with strangers, and skip any clue that feels unsafe. There are more than enough tasks to win without taking risks.
The overall vibe is adventure-meets-chaos in the best way. It’s meant to feel like a fun movie day with your friends, not a stress test. Although the hunt takes place on Valentine’s Day, it’s not a romantic challenge — singles, couples, and friend groups are all playing the same game. Show up ready to laugh, plan, problem-solve, and create ridiculous memories.
